Cafe Au Lait Dahlia Tuber

Sale Price:$5.00 Original Price:$10.00
sold out

Cafe Au Lait dahlias are the queens of the dahlia world. Boasting huge, creamy dinner-plate sized blooms, they’re a prolific cut and come again variety, meaning for each stem you harvest, the plant will grow 2-3 MORE in its place, giving you dozens of blooms just from one plant each season.

Plant outside this week and they will give you blooms in a few weeks all the way until first frost in mid October.

These tubers are usually $10-15 each, but because they are our excess, we are clearing them out for $5 each. They’re limited in quantity, so grab one before they’re gone! Fulfillment will be farm pickup only, no shipping available.

Pickup Windows:

Tuesday, June 10th:

8:00 to 10:00 a.m.

or

Wednesday, June 11th:

8:00 to 10:00 a.m., or 6:00-8:00 p.m.

You will be able to select which pickup window works for you after you add to cart above!

We are not able to accommodate pickups outside of this window, and are not able to offer holds or refunds.

Planting instructions (feel free to screenshot!):

1. Pick the Right Spot
Choose a sunny location – dahlias love at least 6 hours of sunlight per day.

2. Prep the Soil
Make sure your soil is well-draining. Mix in compost if you have some!
(Avoid soggy spots – dahlias hate wet feet.)

3. Plant the Tuber

  • Dig a hole 4–6 inches deep.

  • Lay the tuber sideways, with the “eye” (little bump) facing up.

  • Don’t water yet! Just cover it with soil.

4. Space Them Out
Leave about 12-18 inches between plants so they have room to grow.

5. Wait to Water
Hold off on watering until you see green sprouts above the soil. Then, water regularly.
